The Engine
From numbers-matching rebuilds to LS and big-block swaps, built and tuned to make the power you're after — and keep making it. Our anchor Camaro runs an LSX 454 around 700 horsepower.
Muscle cars are where this family started. Larry Morgan — the legend, as his sons call him — had a 1969 Camaro that ran through their whole growing-up: the homecoming car, the one nobody could learn a stick on, the centerpiece of every family story. Restoring muscle cars isn't a service line we added later. It's the reason there's a shop at all.
At Morgan Muscle Cars in Pelham, Alabama, we restore and build Camaros, Novas, Mustangs, and the rest of the muscle-era cars people hand down and chase down. Some we bring back factory-correct. Most get a little more — modern power, modern brakes — because a muscle car you can lean on is a muscle car you'll actually drive. Whatever the year, the work is done by hand, here, by people whose name is on the building.

Suspension and wheel choices that set the car right — aggressive without beating you up on the road. The look matters, and so does how it drives getting there.
Factory colors or something of your own, with stripes sprayed and not stuck on. Bezels and trim painted to match, finished the way these cars deserve.
Modern discs and the hardware to back up the horsepower, so the car stops as well as it goes. The fun part is easy; the stopping part is where the engineering shows.
Camaros, Novas, and Mustangs are the heart of it, but we'll take on most muscle-era cars. The Morgans are a Camaro family going back three generations, so first-gen Camaros are close to home — though the work is model-agnostic in practice.
Both. We can bring a muscle car back to factory-correct, or build a resto-mod with modern power and brakes underneath classic looks. Most owners land somewhere in between — original character with a few modern upgrades so the car is easy to drive.
Yes. LS and LSX swaps are a big part of what we do. Our 1969 Camaro RS Z28 runs an LSX 454 making close to 700 horsepower — classic muscle on the outside, modern power underneath.
